EuroNCAP has the balance of its crash tests of the previous year and were thus the best scores per segment to disclose. The safest cars of 2017 were the VW Arteon, Polo and T-Roc, the Volvo XC60, Opel Crossland X and the Subaru XV and Impreza.
Volkswagen knew as a designer to distinguish in the EuroNCAP-crash tests in 2017: up to three of its models were the best of their category. So is the Polo the safest among the city’s, the T-Roc under the small SUVS and the Arteon in the ‘Executive’segment. Subaru knew two models on the podium to hoist: the Impreza and the XV, which is exactly the same score received in the category of small cars. The Opel Crossland X was the best small eenvolumer and the Volvo XC60 the safest large SUV. All of these models were, of course, 5 stars and high scores on all 4 parts of the crash tests: the protection of adult occupants, the protection of children on board, voetgangervriendelijkheid and driver assistance systems.
