The Italian Toyota importer seems to be something in motion. The brand wants to now also in France, the sale stop of its diesel models, with the exception of its commercial vehicles. There are still other countries?
Didier Gambart, CEO of Toyota France, told the French magazine Autoplus that the brand will soon stop the sale of diesel cars in France. He takes that decision on the basis of the sales figures for 2017: by then, only 7 percent of the cars that the brand in the south, with a diesel engine and equipped, compared to 60 percent hybrids. In the commercial vehicles would dieselaandeel for Toyota 3 percent. As for 2018, it is expected that diesels yet, but for 1 percent of the sales will be, it would make relatively short-term stop offering the zelfontbranders. Only utilitarian models such as the pick-up, Hilux and the thick off-road vehicle Land Cruiser had a diesel drinking. The Italian importer of the brand took the decision already. It is not unlikely that other countries, including Belgium, will follow. Toyota is still more bets on hybrids, such as the C-HR, which is never with a diesel is available.
